2C fast charging: with charging safety fully assured, charging time for the same amount of energy is cut by more than 50%.
Direct battery cooling: an industry-leading direct-cooling battery technology developed for commercial vehicles. Compared with liquid cooling, heat-exchange efficiency is up 18% and cooling energy consumption down 60%, keeping fast charging safe and reliable.

Dedicated hybrid engine: inheriting the strong genes of BYD's hybrid technology, the T5 DM uses the DM 1.5T dedicated hybrid engine shared with BYD passenger cars.
Flat-wire motor: better thermal performance, smaller size and higher efficiency than a round-wire motor, with peak efficiency of up to 97%.
Multi-in-one electric control: an integrated design with high power density and high efficiency.

Low-drag design: an industry-leading drag coefficient as low as 0.42 Cd.
Low-rolling-resistance tyres: without compromising wear performance, rolling resistance is 15% lower than standard tyres, cutting energy consumption by around 4%.

Passenger-car technology: the chips, battery, electronic control and motor share BYD's passenger-car engineering. Blade Battery: super-safe, passing the industry's harshest nail-penetration test. Braking: brake-by-wire with ESC stability control, TCS traction control, CDP, HHC hill-hold and AVH auto-hold as standard; rear camera and radar standard, DMS driver-fatigue warning, ACC, AEBS emergency braking, FCW and LDW available. High-strength cage body certified to ECE R29; over a million kilometres of road validation in extreme heat, cold, altitude and humidity.
